Beach day with our three little ones. Michele loves it there and finally got to relax a bit with our littlest. She looked so beautiful holding her, I had to make it my picture of the day.

61/365 - a promise
I went to a memorial service for a former student at our school. 24 is far too young. The father gave an amazing talk that made me think about my own three children. So here is my promise to them:
I will always love you. Nothing will ever stop that love. It will be there when you are bad, when you are good, whether you are near or far. I will love you regardless of where life's road leads you, no matter who you choose to be. I will always be here for you when you need me, and even when you don't. I will always love you.

59/365 - winter flower
Not much time to shoot today, so a quick jaunt with the macro feature of the 28-85mm lens right after sunset.

58/365 - First Infrared Shot
Last night I got the Hoya R72 filter. Don't worry, my IR photography won't always look like this, I just wanted to test the shutter speed out. Thought the sun spot effect was surreal, however, so I made it my shot of the day.

Today, the first bowl of Valentines Day candy appeared in the teacher lounge...and I had just dropped all my excess Thanksgiving/Christmas poundage...Thanks!

56/365 - All Stars
I dig the old school Chucks. Michele leaves these by the door to run out recycling and whatnot....I have been eyeing them for weeks now and finally sprung...
