Today is why it costs so much to live in California. 78 degrees, cloudless sky, good surf, amazing beach...heaven. Hopefully some great images on film today, at least I shot a lot...

Temporary 145/365
I have decided to shoot film until my D80 returns from its Nikon spa treatment. I will post a temporary iPhone shot to hold the place until I can develop and scan the film. Toodles!

144/365 - welcome home dad
The best part of coming home...
On a side note, my D80 is on it's way to the Nikon Service center. I am considering a Holga month, or possible pop some film into my old Nikon F100 as I feel like I am spending too much time with my iPhone...Could be a while 'till I get something new up. Don't worry, I am not giving up on the 365. I will try to check in along the way to see what everyone else is doing. Good luck!

143/365 - helper feet
My girls always help me bring my stuff to the car before I head off to work each day. One of those happy daily rituals...

142/365 - she's mighty mighty
We were supposed to be paying attention to a discussion on our school's emergency plan, but these bricks looked too cool not to grab a shot of. Don't worry, I paid attention 99% of the time...
140/365 - a glaze of glory
Working in some potential shapes for a group of Sake cups and maybe some small vases. Trying out some new glazes as well. Never thought I would enjoy pottery si much, but there is something about it that I really like. Perhaps this will be a before shot with the after coming after they get fired...
141/365 - king's crown
My official birthday and my oldest spent her free time in kindergarten working on a crown for my birthday. So sweet. It was really a nice day with best wishes from current and past students, freinds and family. Plus my wife made a great dinner to boot. Yes, this is a terrible selfie, but I had to get a picture of this crown...

139/365 a broken freind...
About 1/3 of the way done with the 365 and my D80 is trying to call it quits...oh man!
138/365 - beach day!
Michele and the girls surprised me with an overnight trip to the beach for my birthday. We even did our nighttime reading in the sand, it was awesome!
Incidentally, this was the last shot my D80 would take. I figured it was the battery, but after a full recharge, there was still no love. Time to call Nikon customer support...

136/365 - sour grass between innings
Shot another round of our baseball team and caught these flowers between innings. I remember being a kid, picking these and slowly chewing their stems...Yum!
135/365 - walk by flowering
I really need to get off my duff and start shooting with my big fella. With ap's only three weeks away, I am spending far too much time in the classroom, so very little time for some photography...soon?

134/365 - back to work II
The hill behind our school. Snapped the iphone quick on the way to ceramics class...

132/365 - she slips, she scores
Took the girls up to school for a rainy day art session in our school's studio. This is Alex and Gabby working on making slab boxes.
133/365 - back to work
After a nice spring break, it was off to school again today. Just 3 weeks till AP's start and it is all downhill from there...

131/365 - open road
Volleyball tournament near Sacramento today and I was driving almost 2 hours both ways to get there. We finished 3rd, going 5-1 and our only losses were by the closest of margins. More importantly, the girls had a great time and moved up a division by finishing in the top three.
130/365 - eagle eye gabby
Sitting in the optometrist with my daughter, I remembered eahnc's previous shot of her son at the eye doctor and wished I had brought my dslr. Oh well, at least I had my iphone with me. She was a champ and the doctor told her she had "eagle eyes".

127/365 - bubbles + gun
Alex doesn't have school on Tuesdays, so I got to hang out with her today. At Target, she had a $10 gift card due to a return of one of her presents. She chose to buy two bubble guns and a big thing of sidewalk chalk, so that she could share with her big sister.
There are times where I am not sure they will both survive and then there are moments like today where I think they will end up being best friends for life...

My spring break this week, so I got to walk the two big ones to school. Fun times!

125/365 - the hunt
I always remember the Easter egg hunt as the best part of Easter Sunday. My oldest two daughters must have been passed that genetic coding... Happy Easter!

124/365 - alex's birthday party
Alex had her 5th birthday celebration today. Michele always does an amazing job putting the party together and this year was no exception.

123/365 - jess and papa
Papa and Grandma Char Char up for the weekend for Alex's Birthday. Caught a little kiss today. She loves her Papa so much.

122/365 - my new 5-year old
Alex is officially 5 years old today. I can't tell you how much I love this kid. So stubborn, so smart, so adorable...Happy birthday Lex Bex!
121/356 - dodge ball!
Our school does an annual tournament and the teacher team, which I am a proud member of, "Old Skool" has finished 2nd three years in a row. A bit disappointed in our 3rd place finish this year, but a super fun day, nonetheless...
