Had yet to try taking a TTV shot, so today I grabbed my old Kowa 6 and a macro lens and went for it. It's a bit tricky and I certainly have some work to do, but it was a blast trying to figure it all out.

334/365 - contemplative
Little Alex is so emotional. Her feelings are fragile and she can take a while to bounce back when she gets upset. I'd like to blame my wife for passing this trait to her, but I am likely the culprit...
333/365 - Arastradero faux x-pro
The clouds were amazingly cool this morning. Had a bit of fun with a curves adjustment layer to give it a touch of cross-processing feel.
332/365 - posted
Dropped the girls off at before-school extended care. Saw this sign I had passed a hundred times, but liked the pine needles clinging to the fence. Of course, I had left my camera in the car, so iPhone and the PictureShow app is the result...
331/365 dia de los muertos
Our school does a pretty intensive Dia de los Muertos celebration. No food this year, which was a bit of a bummer, but that is not really the point of the the day.
330/365 - sf shoe shine
A quick little photo walk in San Francisco today as I helped chaperon a computer science field trip.
329/365 - premium quality dad time
Volleyball season has been going strong for over three months and my two oldest kids are missing me a bit. Both requested "daddy dates" to get some quality time today. The feeling is certainly mutual and the dates were a blast. Just two more weeks!!!!

327/365 - rosy drops
Yes, another flower picture, but on such a grey day, I could not resist this pop of color.
326/365 - el macho
Grabbed my camera and right as I was about to shoot, noticed it was out of batteries. Luckily, I always have a backup, so I popped it in. It was dead as well. Time for an iPhone shot, I guess. This is $1 after shave that my wife bought for all the members of our Social Studies Department. Get Macho!
325/365 - my three
Michele brought the girls up to my volleyball game today. I promise, I did not tell Gabby to write that poster. Honest!

324/365 - hecks yes!!!!!!
Oh my goodness that was a great game. Yes, it ended at around 3:30, but I had forgotten to take a POTD, so here it is.

323/365 - fingers crossed
Taking my girls to school is a highlight of my Mondays and Wednesdays. I got a little testy when my wife offered to take them today instead of me...Sorry, Michele.
322/365 - flip flops for peace
Loading up our van for the ride home, I noticed these flip flops on the porch. Sad to head home, as it was a great trip, but very happy to see my girls.
321/365 - the flizz
Wish I had composed this a bit better, but what can you do...live and learn, right? This is my boy, Floyd. My kids call him Uncle Flizzle Bizzle, my wife calls him my "other wife", and our team jokes about our "bromance". Truth is, he is a great friend and I can't imagine coaching without him.
320/365 - rear view mirror
Driving our amazingly hilarious (and talented...but mostly hilarious) volleyball team down to Santa Barbara for a match. Unlike #319, I was safely parked while snapping this one...
319/365 - sun up
Our first really cool sky in a long time. Don't tell the police, but I snapped this while driving! I slowed down, of course and made sure no one was behind me...Wish I would have taken the time to stop, it was actually quite beautiful...

318/365 - sunsplashed flower
Another day arriving at home right as the sun sets...I should really consider cranking out a shot or two during the day, but where's the stress in that?
317/365 - you're the one
Two accidents turned my normal 30 minute commute into an agonizing hour plus jaunt. It also was quickly stealing the last light from the day, so I snapped a terrible shot of a rubber duck (he sits on my dash) using my iPhone camera. Popped it into PictureShow to at least make it somewhat interesting...
316/365 - board (post session)
Gotta say it was a good day. It always surprises me that two hours in the water can completely change your outlook on life.
315/365 - the venetian
My wife and I celebrated our 14th anniversary in Capitola this weekend. I don't know how romantic sitting on a sidewalk, watching your husband struggle with a long exposure shot of a hotel sign is, but my wife was surely a gamer. Love ya, Michele!

314/365 - oh my gourd
Strange, this does not feel like it was taken outdoors on an extremely hot and sunny day. We were at one of our traditional pumpkin patches when my oldest found a table of gourds. Most were in the shade, but this one was just barely in the sun. I only took this shot because she asked me to, but when I got it home, I really dug the texture and tone...So, POTD with a Gabby assist!
313/365 - gigantes!!!!
Pat Burrell started things off with a 3-run blast. This is the celebration, a sea of orange pompoms, hugs, high fives....It was amazing! Of course, the 2010 Giants can't make anything easy...TORTURE!!!!
312/365 - crush
Testing out a new lens in our horribly lit gym. Our JV team played fantastically, but my Varsity could not muster a similar effort, unfortunately. Bleh!
311/365 - fluffy grass
What a terrible title, I know. I sat for a while trying to come up with something better, but could not...Oh well. Our photo class went on a photo walk around school and these caught my eye.
310/365 - steps and tiles
Our school is on a hill and has stairs running from top to bottom. Over the course of four years, it is estimated, students have climbed the equivalent of Mt. Everest. Each graduating senior makes a tile at their senior retreat that is fired and then placed by class on the front of these steps.
309/365 - numb3rs
What's better than a little math before bedtime? It's like dessert for your brain!

308/365 - cutest kid on earth
Yes, I am biased, but I don;t think I am too far off. We took our annual trip to a railroad in the Santa Cruz Mountains. We had a blast!
307/365 - day is done
Not terribly sad to see this day end. We lost our tournament and one of my captains dislocated he shoulder before the semifinal match. Rough one...
306/365 - the shoes fit
Another spirit day, another shot of shoes on the curb. The classes gather here to greet the incoming students with massive amounts of cheering. Fun times!
305/365 - gooey goodness
Not sure how I avoided buying and devouring one of these...Our digital photography and film photography classes combined for a fieldtrip to Monterey for an Ansel Adams exhibition. If you are in the SF Bay area, you should check out the Monterey Museum of Art before the show takes off.
304/365 - we play all night
Senior spirit day went to the blue side of things and featured a nice student jazz ensemble.
303/365 - home of the giants
Jonathan Sanchez on the mound with only a few games left in the season. The Giant's first postseason trip in what seems like a long, long time hanging in the balance. They may be torture to watch, but I love 'em!
